I’m Amisha, a journalist currently based in Boston, MA. I graduated cum laude from Boston University in 2025 with a degree in Journalism and minors in Data Science and International Relations. This fall, I’ll join the eight-person Science Writing program at M.I.T., specializing in longform journalism on the science beat.

One of my favorite parts of journalism is the luxury of deep learning— pulling apart complicated issues, questioning surface-level narratives, directly confronting primary sources, and scrutinizing the details people often overlook or can’t access. I’m equally drawn to storytelling and the process of making information accessible: illuminating voices, translating complex ideas through clear writing, meticulous explanation, visuals, and multimedia storytelling.

I’ve worked on both long-term projects and fast-turnaround stories across a range of beats, in both collaborative and solo reporting environments. My experience spans multiple stages of news production, from research and reporting to fact-checking, audience analytics, and design. While I’m just beginning to specialize in science journalism, I’ve always been drawn to experimentation — hopping across beats, formats, and ways of telling stories and this site is a reflection of that, featuring some of my published work, projects, and ongoing curiosities.
